Meet the Shitheads, on NBC

So I'm watching Meet the Press, and Tim Russert has 3 oil CEOs/Presidents on for a panel discussion. The Shell president has got to be the biggest frickin shithead/yes man I've ever seen. Russert would ask him a question something like "Prices at the pump are higher than ever, its having a great effect on the budget and economy of the everyman. And yet your profits are shattering records. How do you square that?" You could see this guy trying to bite his lip and suppress the shit eating grin that was trying to pop onto his face. He'd give some bullshit answer about how they don't really make that much money, and its expensive to run an oil company. Then he'd go on to say how the problem really lies with supply, and how policy in this country is really stacked against the big oil companies because they aren't allowed to go tramping over every square inch of this country sniffing out oil for you, the consumer, so that prices will be lower. UNBELIEVABLE. At one point while discussing the prospect of dependancy on oil in the next 20-30 years he said something to the effect of "Our oil use will not be reduced in the next 20-30 years. Nor does it need to be. There is plenty of oil out there in this country and in others. We just need to change public policy so that we can go extract it." Wow.
