The last week's been a blur. I think it went something like this: Bike shop bikeshop, driving driving driving, single track single track single track singletrack with lots of rocks uphill singletrack, driving, singletrack, coffee with old friends, driving driving driving, bike shop bikeshop.

Yowza. Fruita 1 track is sweet. I don't know how much longer i'm going to be able to put up with the trails here. Wirth is getting freight train wide in some spots, nevermind the rest of the blandness. plus fruita's got the hot tomato! met up with a slightly smaller kenwood crew for some reminiscing there on wednesday night and had a lot of $1 new belgium pints. the disco ball was back up. Consequently I didn't pay for a single beer. I owe someone a lot of beers. That's about all I can recall of the trip at the moment, it was a quick one this year. hope to be back for next. Seems like I shouldn't even try to describe the riding, as i just wouldn't do it justice. i've got some pictures that'll maybe make it up on the next post.

So we also picked up a smattering of CO beers including a car-barrel of fattire that's getting tapped friday night round abouts 8pm. so if anyone wants in on that let me know. Maria's house, rsvp if you need the directions.

i also finally broke down and replaced the $75 retail specialized mtn shoes i got for free, and i've been riding since i can remember. the soles were falling apart, and the top straps were starting to tear near the hooks. i dont think i've ever bought a pair non-walkable mountain shoes before. I decided to go all out and get the highest end shimano heat moldable shoe. you know, so my skinny ass feet would fit better. i havn't ridden them yet, but i baked em up on sunday and they seem like they're fitting pretty good. they better for a retail tag of $350. Luckily the cost price is significanly lower than normal. they must pad that for the labor of bakin em.

Oh yeah, i also cought a few trout with the new flyrod at the lake at the campground. that was an excellent way to unwind after a long day of singletrack.

i'm not sure if any of that was really coherent, i think i'm still recovering from the trip. sleep pattern's all fucked up still. whatever, screech'll probably at least be able to decipher it.

one pretty sweet addition to the link column: bikely. it's pretty sweet, tim from the shop showed it to me.

steve and timmy: you're off the list, screech: you're on notice.
