happy earth day

man, busy week and an even busier one coming up. off to fruita on wednesday and the only think keeping me up right now is getting the kona dialed for the 5 days of riding. things are looking pretty good with the stylo obbb, and some new pistol grips and my xxw salsa pro moto bar ala the madison swap. how the hell does a 10 year old bike saved from the dumpster weigh less and ride better than a brand new $1700 steel bike? they dont make em like they used to...

ride tomorrow night at wirth, for those of you around. 6ish probably. gotta test out the new setup. decide if i like the new bar before i spray paint my new $7 pair of pistol grips onto it and make them un-reusable.

so-so day at the shop. i gotta wonder what compells people to bring out of control kids to a bike shop. that's not fun for anyone. except maybe the kids. seriously, if i tell your kid to not do something twice, and you tell them three times more and they still do it you need to take a step back and reconsider some of your parenting strategies. fuckin a, assert some authority.

the ride home was real nice though, and maria's steaks were out of this world. best steak i've ever eaten.

So when i was eating a burrito on niccolett mall the other day i look across the street, and there's a frickin church of scientology. how in the f can they afford that sort of rent? that can't be a cheap building to aquire. i'm pretty sure its the same one i signed up for stuporbowl 8 at. that's a sad demise...i had half a mind to walk in and ask for tom, but my better judgement kicked in and i realized if i walked through that door there was a good chance they'd ask a lot of questions i didnt want to answer and i'd feel real uncomfortable. just like with the name tags. anyways, here's the list of the day:
